Purchased this piece because I really liked the beauty of the details and the subject matter. It has hung on the wall of two apartments since I received it. I have since moved into another place and the landlord prohibits paintings on the walls. I feel it is time to find a new home for it. Perhaps it could be you. The oil painting is beautiful and to my surprise, has really appreciated in value. Being on wood makes it kind of neat too.
The painting has never been subjected to extreme temperatures or humidity changes while in my possession. It has been in a smoke free environment except when I had company and they always were in another room. From the time I purchase it until just recently it hung on a wall in my two apartments, facing the doorway. It's a good luck thing. I really took care of this painting, because of the subject matter. You don't fool with Jesus! (LOL!). It is the only painting I have ever owned. Problem is I live in Bayonne and the NY-NJ Metro area is a dirty place to live. Keeping dust and dirt off this thing is a project in itself. I just cleaned it again and will clean it yet again before it ships.
According to CJR, the artist will no longer paint this size. He has decided to opt for the much larger 24X20. If he would agree to do the smaller size, CJR feels he most likely would charge the same as he does for the larger pieces. That's if he agrees to do it at all.

Enrique Ortiz was born near Santiago, Chile in xxxx. His mother was a Brazilian and his father from Chile.
He graduated in the late Sixties from the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Santiago, Chile with one of the highest awards in the specialty field of Oil Paintings. Before moving to his mother's homeland of Brazil and devoting his entire time to oil painting, he worked as an art teacher for quite sometime.
Ortiz has participated in several exhibitions, including: Arte Popular, Salvador, Brazil in xxxx; Universidad de Bahia, Brazil in xxxx; The Jacaranda Country Club , Bahia, Brazil in xxxx; Casa de la Cultura, Manaos, Brazil in xxxx; and El Palacio de Cultura, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in xxxx.
The paintings of Ortiz evoke another era, a time gone by. His portraits of religious history's famous personages inspire the viewer's mind to wander in time and reflect his sincere devoutness. His multi-glazed antiqued canvases are an open window to an age long departed.
